SALIENT FEATURES

The panels Manufactured are well laid out with proper compartmentalisation and segregation for feeders,cable terminations,metering and protection, busbars, cable alleys, etc., The layouts are such that damages if any caused due to short circuits are localised and contained. All control components-with proper identification to its circuitry-are so mounted to render easy maintenance and accessibility.Conditions as prevailing at site also receive due consideration while planning the layouts. All necessary interlocks both for the feeder component itself and also between the components and the panel The operational interlocks and sequences are tailor built to suit individual needs. An earth busbar of ade-quate size-either Aluminium or Copper-is run through-out the length of the panels and directly mounted on to the panel frames. The earth terminals of components are connected to this earth bus. The earth bus generally protrudes to facilitate earthing connections.

FABRICATION:

Panels are built out of cold rolled and cold annealed steel sheets in 14 gauges for frames and 16 gauges basically for partitions. Panels are facilitated to specific tailor made layouts.Powder coating is adopted as a standard and unless otherwise specified, panels are painted in RAL 7032 Siemens grey shade.

FEEDER:

In case of feeder ratings above 63 Amps, terminations are by means of staggered busbars to prevent fouling of phase and neutral cores. Up to and including 63 Amps.Elmex melamine stud type terminal blocks are used.Terminal blocks are located in the cable alleys .Internal wiring within the panels, are colour coding, etc.,both for the mains and auxiliary wiring shall generally be as per IS:375 Standards.

BUSBAR:

The busbars are liberally rated and proper design factors for higher ambient, enclosure conditions,number of busbars, short time current capability etc.,are all considered while arriving at the sizing.PVC colour coded heat shrinkable sleeves are generally provided as a standard practice. The main horizontal and vertical bus bars are housed in totally enclosed separate compartments.

WIRING:

Wiring is properly identified by ferrules at both ends.Sufficient Cabling space is available in the cable alley.

It is fully segregate from the feeders by sheet metal partitions. Suitable cable supports are provided in the cable alley.Panels are designed to have adequate clearances between live parts and between live parts to earth.These are generally far higher than that specified in the relevant Standards.In many cases, due to constraints arising out of inadequate clearances available in certain components,FRP barriers are provided to enhance safety
